July: Art of the Automobile Downtown Vancouver is host to several antique car and hot rod shows during the month of July and we are joining in the fun to celebrate the artistry of these beautiful vehicles! Whether your art features cars, hints at car culture, or is made of car parts, this is the show for you. Theme is open to artist's interpretation and all media will be considered. September: The Intersection of Art & Poetry Beautifully scripted words have been known to inspire Art. Thought and emotion provoking imagery has been known to inspire poetic prose. The state of ‘flow’ is characterized as complete absorption, or single minded focus on the piece you are creating in the moment. We are seeking to pair art and poetry for this first Art and Poetry exhibit to cultivate a union between these two genres. By having the jury process pair artists and poets around a common experience, our goal is to create a powerful exhibit that inspires the cross-pollination of these two genres. Mosaic Arts Alliance is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which operates the cooperative Gallery 360, and is dedicated to fostering the arts in our community. The gallery opened as Sixth Street Gallery in 2005 as an exhibition space for member artists and teaching studio for the community, it was voted “Best Gallery in Clark County” in 2009 and 2010. Membership in Mosaic Arts Alliance is open to all artists and art supporters. Donations are graciously accepted and are tax deductible in accordance with the law. Tax ID# 20-1501218.
