A degree in Art Education from the University of Minnesota led me to begin a career of teaching for 30 years in Vancouver, Washington. With a master’s degree from Lewis and Clark College in Portland Oregon I was able to share my skills and my love for unique creations with students in kindergarden through Grade 12, as well as with teachers earning college credits at Portland State University.
Upon retiring from teaching, my desire to broaden my skills while traveling has led me to painting workshops in China, Italy, France, Croatia, Mexico, and the Greek Isles, as well as Canada, Hawaii, and many vibrant locations in the U.S.
Sharing my love of nature, and interpreting feelings through the use of colors, values, textures, shapes and patterns has been a major focus, whether working in watercolors, acrylics, or inks, on a variety of materials. I am not defined by any one “style” as I thrive on the opportunity to intensely express the world around us with variety.
